Product description:
ASM 2 is the previous generation of Animal Shelter Manager. It's Java based and
designed to run on your desktop. It has installers for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS
X 10.4+, various Linux distributions and a web bundle containing an applet for
hosting providers that allow external access to MySQL databases.

Open index.html and look for the following line:

    var parameters = {
        java_arguments : '-Xmx256m',
        jdbcurl : 'jdbc:mysql://server/database?user=user&password=pass&zeroDateTimeBehaviour=convertToNull'
    };

	
"jdbcurl" parameter stores the username and password to the mysql DB in clear text.

Remediation Steps:
There is no patch available for this issue and administrators are recommended to
isolate any system running this software with strong authentication and access
control.
